• Question: why do you think the world will end and why???

      Personally I think we’re at a crucial point in human development. Either we’re going to progress to do great things in the far future, or we’ll wipe ourselves out within a few generations.

      That said, we currently believe that intelligent life like ourselves should be very common throughout the galaxy, and it’s a great puzzle as to why we haven’t discovered any yet. This would seem to suggest that either, intelligent life has a way of wiping itself out (which doesn’t look promising in the near future), or that interstellar travel simply isn’t possible (in which case we’ll be in trouble when the Sun dies).
