I didn’t really decide – it just happened! When I was doing my GCSEs I just preferred science type subjects over arts one, so did maths, phys, chem A levels. Then when doing them I came to really like physics, so I went to study physics at university.

Then I just got more specialised, doing things that I liked the look of, and that there was an opportunity for me to do. I never had a master plan to become a Research Fellow in gravitational wave detectors! I’m very happy I’ve ended up here at the moment though!
