The main language that I use in my work at the moment is Python. Last summer, I went to the Pycon UK conference, where they had a whole range of talks for educators and children. Although I spent most of my time in the science talks, I did get to see some of the cool stuff that the school-age children had been making and it was really quite incredible!

I’d therefore love to be able to help teach Python, as it is simple to pick up the basics yet advanced enough that it can be used to do real science with as well! I’d also like to see if I can do something that involves the raspberry pi computer. Not only can these be run using Python, but there are some attachments (or ‘pi hats’) for it that provide sensors, giving the potential for them to be used to do some physics!
