• Question: does religion ever effect your work?

      The short answer is no.

      A lot of people think that science and religion can’t go hand in hand. I completely disagree with this. There is nothing in science that says you can’t have religion and as far as I’m aware the reverse is also true.

      I agree with Emma completely. There are certainly some fundamental religious people who are set against new scientific discoveries. For instance the people who believe in the literal word of the Genesis creation story, and dismiss all data related to dinosaur fossils. Then there are also some fundamental scientists who see it as their duty in life to try and disprove the existence of any and all Gods.

      Ultimately, if you remove the extremists from both sides (which are few and far between), everyone’s just happy to get on with the research regardless of belief.
